Kasean Pryor Announces Return to Louisville Basketball for 2025–26 Season
Louisville, KY — Louisville Cardinals forward Kasean Pryor has confirmed his decision to return to the University of Louisville for the 2025–26 men’s basketball season. The 6-foot-10 forward, who transferred from South Florida in 2024, announced his intent to rejoin the team after recovering from a season-ending ACL injury sustained in November 2024.
Pryor’s injury occurred during the Battle 4 Atlantis championship game against Oklahoma, where a collision led to a torn left ACL, sidelining him for the remainder of the season. Prior to the injury, he averaged 12.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, showcasing his skills as a versatile big man capable of stretching defenses with his shooting and passing abilities.
In a recent interview, Pryor expressed his excitement about returning to the court:
“I’m feeling great and ready to get back out there with my teammates. I appreciate all the support from the fans and the program during my recovery. I can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success next season.”
Head coach Pat Kelsey also welcomed Pryor’s return, emphasizing his leadership and on-court presence:
“Kasean’s resilience and determination have been evident throughout his recovery. His experience and skill set will be invaluable as we look to build on our momentum for the upcoming season.”
Pryor’s return is expected to bolster the Cardinals’ frontcourt and provide a significant boost to their championship aspirations in the 2025–26 season.
