Tyran Stokes, a top-ranked prospect, is at Kentucky for an official visit.
The standout player in the class of 2026 is a native of Louisville.
The Kentucky Wildcats are now hosting Tyran Stokes, the top recruit in the class of 2026, on an official visit, according to a report from On3’s Joe Tipton on Sunday night.

The Cats are anticipated to play a significant role in his recruitment, but they have not yet hosted him for a visit after a previously planned trip was postponed in May. This is undoubtedly fantastic news.

In recent months, the emerging star also made trips to Kansas and Louisville. The other two institutions that are anticipated to be seriously considered are Kentucky and Arkansas. However, nothing is final in the NIL era until the pen touches the paper.

Regardless of class, whomever signs Stokes will be getting a phenomenal athlete and one of the most captivating young players to watch. The fact that the 5-star prospect is a native of Louisville adds even more intrigue to his recruitment for Wildcat supporters. Stokes is undoubtedly aware of the significance of collegiate basketball in Kentucky.

There have always been lingering reclassification rumors surrounding the physically mature Stokes. However, he has continued to shut those rumors down, suggesting he will remain planted in the class of 2026.

At 6-foot-7, Stokes has the skill set to score the ball in a variety of ways, and his play-making ability is elite.

Mark Pope has continued to answer the bell for big moments so far in his young career as the head coach at the University of Kentucky. The recruitment of a homegrown unanimous #1 player will be yet another test for the former Wildcats.

This recruitment is just getting started and will feature the heavy hitters from college basketball, including the UK’s biggest rival and their former head coach, battling it out.
