Four-star wing Aidan Chronister locks in five fall official visits

The No. 67 overall recruit in the national 2026 class will take official visits to Missouri, Oklahoma State, and Wake Forest, among others.

Aidan Chronister, the No. 67 overall recruit in the national 2026 class, has scheduled five official visits heading into the fall.

A 6-foot-7, 180-pound wing out of Fayetteville (Ark.) The New School, Chronister will visit Wake Forest (Sept. 11), Missouri (Sept. 19), Saint Louis (Sept. 26), Arkansas State (Oct. 10), and Oklahoma State (Oct. 17).

“These schools came to visit me whenever they could and showed me a lot of love,” Chronister said. “They have done their part in recruiting me, so I feel it is now on me to visit the schools and see what they are about.”

Arkansas State: “Jordan Fair and Ryan Pannone have been on me. They have an amazing style of play. Being an in-state kid, there will be a lot of love and support. They have done nothing but show that to me. I have been there once. They recently got a new athletic director, so they are doing a lot of remodeling.”
Missouri: “Kyle Smithpeters and Dennis Gates have been recruiting me. The whole staff has reached out to me. When I went there before, it was only for games. Coach Gates lets his players rock out and will allow me to play my game. Now I get to see the workouts and how the team practices. I will get to see what the players go through on a day-to-day basis. I will get to see how they are living and what they do every day.”

Oklahoma State: “Steve Lutz has been on me for some time. They have done nothing but show me love since they reached out. They have been at all my games. Robert Guster has shown love to me and my family. They have a great style of play. I’ve seen practice and their campus, and they take care of their players very well.”

Saint Louis: “I talk to Brett Putz and Josh Schertz. They are a great school. They are a basketball-based school that fits me well. They run an NBA offense, and that is where I am trying to go. I feel that could be a spot that could help me get to the NBA.”

Wake Forest: “They are a great school with a great staff. I like Steve Forbes a lot. He has called my family and me multiple times. We have been connected. The staff has done nothing but show great support and love. They love my game, and they have shown me film on where I can come in as a freshman to help them win. They also have great academics.”

Chronister is uncertain if he will announce a list cut at this stage, noting that his attention is currently on the schools he plans to visit in the next two months.

As for his commitment timeline, he hopes to make a decision before December to fully focus on his senior high school season.

“I feel I can’t go wrong with any program I choose. That is why I am only visiting five schools,” Chronister said. “When I get on campus and I feel one gives me a special feeling of a family connection, then I will know for sure.”
