Barlaser, 28, is out of contract at the end of the season. Therefore, his current club risk losing him for free in June next year if they don’t sell him now or in January, assuming he doesn’t pen an extension in the meantime.
In this latest update regarding his situation at the Riverside Stadium by TeesideLive, he may be available on deadline day. It remains to be seen at this stage whether there are any interested parties.
After signing him back in 2023, former boss Michael Carrick told their official club website: “Dan is a player who I’ve had an eye on for a while, and we’re delighted to bring him in. He is a perfect fit for us, not only in terms of attributes and what he can bring on the pitch but also character and desire to improve.”
