TRANSFER NEWS: MIDFIELDER LEWIS TRAVIS SIGNS FOR DERBY COUNTY
Derby County have completed the signing of central midfielder Lewis Travis.
The 27-year-old arrives at Pride Park Stadium for an undisclosed fee from Blackburn Rovers on a four-year contract, and he will wear the number 27 shirt for the Rams.
Travis is the club’s 11th signing of the summer and he provides added quality, leadership and Sky Bet Championship experience to John Eustace’s midfield ranks.
The majority of his 273 career appearances have been made in the second tier with the Ewood Park club, who he joined from Liverpool as a teenager and went on to captain from the start of the 2022/23 season.
He won promotion from League One with Blackburn in 2017/18, while during a loan spell he was also a part of the Ipswich Town side that secured their long-awaited return to the Premier League in 2024.
Welcome to Derby, Lewis!
