5-Star EDGE Trenton Henderson Returns to Florida State for Key Official Visit

Tallahassee, FL – June 19, 2025

Five-star edge rusher Trenton Henderson, one of the top defensive prospects in the 2026 recruiting class, is back in Tallahassee this weekend for an official visit with Florida State, signaling that the Seminoles remain firmly in the race for his signature.

The elite pass rusher from Pensacola Catholic (FL), ranked as the No. 1 EDGE in Florida and a consensus top-5 national defensive recruit, previously visited FSU for Junior Day in January. Now, he returns for a multi-day official visit from June 20–22, where the Seminoles will roll out the red carpet to keep pace with heavyweights like Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia.

“I’ve always felt the love at Florida State,” Henderson said earlier this year. “Coach Norvell and Coach Knighton have been real with me from the start. They treat me like a top priority, and that means something.”

FSU is expected to showcase Henderson’s potential fit as a hybrid “JACK” linebacker, emphasizing the defensive scheme, player development, and NIL opportunities. Head coach Mike Norvell and defensive line coach Terrance Knighton have made multiple visits to Pensacola to reaffirm their commitment to Henderson’s recruitment.

This visit could prove pivotal as Henderson closes in on a decision expected later this summer. With official visits already completed at Auburn, Vanderbilt, Alabama, and Florida, the Seminoles have a golden opportunity to leave a lasting impression on one of the most sought-after recruits in the country.

Henderson is expected to narrow his list following the visit and could announce a commitment before the fall.
